A little Personal information!
The very brief story that
goes along with this air brush painting has been told before by me. It is very
personal, but inspirational. Here is a very short version…
My brother, who is in his early 50’s, like me, is an excellent artist. He “experimented” with several art mediums over his early life, finally settling on air brushing. As you can see, he mastered the art form. He painted on everything… from the gas tanks of motorcycles to the canvas masterwork you are looking at. He is well known in the town where he lives for the work he produced!
Keeping things non-technical… one score minus six years ago, he was blinded by a freak blood clot like disaster that formed behind his nose structure, inside his skull, that attacked his sight. Just like that, he lost nearly all of his vision. This kind of horror probably would have devastated a regular person, but my brother is such a ham and a cut-up that he has taken his issue and placed it in his back pocket.
He produced this, one of two Mister Plutonium masterworks, a few months before his sight loss.
Needless to say, his days of producing work like this were over. But, he still creates the best way he can because he is a true artist and even blindness cannot take that away from him.
My brother created two different air brush versions of my Mister Plutonium concept for me. One is a 22X28 giant concept painting and the version you see here is the 20X26 final product.
I actually created this super powered character in 1974 when I was a sophomore in high school and my brother was two years behind me. My master plan was to turn him into a comic book one day. And finally, decades later, my brother painted these portraits for me. Of course, I have held on to these posters for a lot of years, securing them in a safe place. It is now time for Mister Plutonium to come alive and present himself to the world.
I am taking my time with this story. I have to get this origin right. Here, again for your perusal, is the first chapter in the upcoming book of the origin of, perhaps, the most powerful creature in the known universe, Mister Plutonium!

Finally, I want it to be known that both of these textured air brush painting are soon to be up for sale. The proceeds will go to the artist. He deserves a sweet orange to take away any sourness of the bitter lemon life has thrown at him.
Those are my words, not my brothers...
So, without further ado… here is the story built around my concepts and my brother’s fantastic art!
